Skin to skin contact?

I'm thinking about the fact that when I give birth I want to hold baby straight away and hold her skin to skin.
I figure to achieve this I'll need to be topless, but I don't fancy being topless throughout labour etc. I could wear a bandeau but would it be hassle to remove it for skin to skin?

My hospital gown unsnapped at the shoulders, so they unsnapped it and put baby on my chest. It wasn't a big deal or hassle.

I had a hospital gown on when they put him on me immediately after giving birth. Once they'd finished with everything they took him away to be weighed and check length/put tags on him & clean him up. When he came back they removed the gown (with my help), put him on my chest and then a blanket over both of us

The hospital gowns are easy to unfasten.

I wore a simple Cami vest top that I just pulled up to have skin to skin.

You can wear anything and then just remove it for the skin to skin.

You could wear a button down nightshirt that you could unbutton and slip the baby into after it is born - that's what I plan to wear in hospital so we can do skin to skin as much as possible and to make access for breastfeeding easier.

I think you could whip it down quickly and much more easily that than gown.
