33 weeks pregnant. Have this uncontrollable cough and coughing up mucus/fluid, injured my right side under my last rib (that area) I thought initially it was a pulled muscle from coughing too much. Well I just had an uncontrolled coughing fit about 45 mins ago and I'm 100% sure I injured it further. It was a pain I could kind of tolerate, now it hurts to even move in the slightest. Hurts when I take a deep breath, hurts when I blow my nose (which I'm constantly doing bc of this cold) and every time I cough it hurts so bad. I had a cough drop, I took robitussin and I'm still coughing and bringing up mucus/fluid. I iced it for about 25 mins and it's an if it did nothing. Do I go to the er? What can they possibly even do? Ugh I'm in so much pain. I need advice.
