Am I being selfish??

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost a year and 3 months. Throughout this whole time I honestly can't remember once where he has planned anything special for me. When we go out and do special stuff it's always me who plans it, or cause we get invited to something by someone else. He has no problem with taking me out, and we always enjoy going out together but it just seems like he puts no effort into planning anything. Even for our one year anniversary, I had to plan something for him to do for me. I also did something for him though so don't say I expect him to do everything. Before you say I should stop expecting him to take me out all the time, A) the money we spend on each other always evens out and is a very 50/50 sort of deal. B) we really don't have dates that often, maybe like once a month.

This is something that really bothers me cause even though I know he isn't a very romantic person and has trouble coming up with ideas, it's really not that hard to Google cute date ideas, I use it all the time.

I want to talk to him about this without sounding selfish, cause other than this problem that really irks me for some reason he is a near perfect boyfriend
