What would you do?

What would you do if your SO demanded to raise your kids a certain religion, different from your own? They didn't want to compromise and didn't want to let the kids make their own decisions, even when older. 
BTW, this is purely hypothetical for me. I'm only 17, but I've heard of this happening a lot

Compromise or leave. No point in arguing or being forced to be apart of something you don't believe in.

I think religion is a pretty fundamental thing that couples should agree on. I personally wouldn't be in a serious relationship with someone with significantly different beliefs to me because I think it would cause too much conflict.

I wouldn't be with a guy that had a different religion from my own.  It may work for some people but it wouldn't work for me.

Lose him! My husband is Muslim and I'm Christian and decided to raise our children Christian and ultimately give our children the choice when they are older. Thankfully it was easy for me but otherwise I would demand a compromise or lose him.

I personally could never let any religion be forced on my child. However I doubt I could easily be in a relationship with a religious person to begin with, as I am not religious whatsoever.

This was never an option for me, I would never be in a relationship with someone who had different beliefs than I (non denominational Christian) because it would cause SO many issues in a relationship. I'm okay with similar like Methodist or baptist but further than that? No. my fiancé and I will raise our future kid/kids as non denominational that way they learn directly from the Bible and it excludes separate church rules :)

That is not an option for me and would be a deal breaker in my relationship. I don't believe in forcing beliefs onto my kids and I want them to find their own paths and morals. So I would leave my partner before kids even came into the picture.
