Has anyone had success with bottle feeding AND breast feeding?

Especially early on? I have night classes but I want to breastfeed... I'm so worried my baby won't accept both the boob and the bottle. Has anyone had success with alternating? If so, when did you introduce bottle and how did you do it? Were there any problems?

I started a bottle at 5 days with my second baby. He took both but I mostly breastfed. I just kept giving him a bottle frequently so he wouldn't refuse if I wanted to leave him with someone like his sister did.

Yep. My first wouldn't latch for the first two weeks and was completely bottle fed. Then when she started nursing I had to supplement because I had low supply. Never had an issue.

I know a lot of people who did both with great success.  I think it depends on the baby.

My cousin breastfed and used bottles for breast milk as soon as she got home.  Both kids had no issues and would take their milk from either.

My bff wasn't producing enough milk in the beginning so she had to supplement with formula in the beginning.  Her daughter doesn't have a preference either as long as she is being fed,  she's happy.

All three kids are big eaters.

Yup my BF bottle fed some nights so I could sleep. There was a period there from about 3 months old for a few weeks where he'd (bub not BF lol) would only take the boob though.

My daughter uses both n she does really good with using both n I first introduced her to a bottle at 5 days old because she had a doc app n I wasn't comfortable taking my boob out in front of all those people. She mostly breastfeeds but I do give her a bottle sometimes once a day if we have to go somewhere. She prefers the boob but she has no problem using a bottle too.

I had to have an emergency surgery 3 days after I had my 2nd and they has to use a bottle while I was in the hospital and she did fine on both

We had to supplement with formula until my milk came in so my daughter got bottles in the hospital and switched back and forth just fine, so when my pump was delivered a week later I had no problems going ahead and giving her a bottle. She's never had an issue and ever since my milk came in we've been exclusively breastfeeding with no problems!

I did it. I done it when my daughter was only a week old. She had absolutely no problems with it. Every baby is different but my daughter was fine either way. I plan on doing it with this baby too.
