Learning through mistakes or no

The question is : do you let your kids make their own mistakes or do you stop them before they have a chance? (If you don't have kids yet then, however you intend to parent when the time comes)

*Now lets all be nice about this because I already see someone saying "no no that's wrong!" There's no right or wrong because only you know what your child needs parenting wise, you don't know what lil Timmy needs when you've never lived with lil Timmy....*

**also, by stop them before I mean... don't let them even get into the situation**
