Fetal Doppler at home?

Hi ladies!!
 
I was wondering how far along you have to be to use a fetal Doppler at home, 
do they really work, 
and are there any recommendations on which one to get?

I had a miscarriage earlier this year and am 7 weeks with my little rainbow. And as you can imagine I am a nervous mama! I just want to know that little babe it doing ok!

I got mine off eBay. It's a sonoline B fetal doppler. It cost me $39 and had free shipping. I received it in 2 days. When I bought it I was about 7w5d. I kept trying to hear baby's heartbeat but couldn't find it until 9 weeks exactly. I love it! I can't always find the baby which is normal at this early since they are still so tiny. But I found it one time since and tomorrow I'll be 10 weeks. I usually just try every few days. Definitely helps to make me feel better about things just don't be upset or worried if you can't find it right away or everyday for that matter. It takes time to figure it out and figure out where your little one is. I used YouTube to watch videos to help me understand a little better how to find it.

I was able to find the heartbeat between 9 & 10 weeks with mine, with the help of YouTube instructional videos. I paid $37 and got it from fetaldoppler.net. Love it.

Sonoline B is the only way to go. We got a different brand and it didn't work until I was 13+ weeks along. By that time I could feel the baby move and didn't need it.

I'm a bigger girl so I couldnt hear her heart beat till 14 weeks. And don't let these people tell you "oh, by then you can feel the baby so it's pointless!" 
How can both feeling AND hearing your babies life be pointless?! 
They can be a little stressful though. When your baby goes through a growth spurt and doesn't move for two days so you get the Doppler out and can't seem to find the heart beat!!! Yehh... that's stressful. But they aren't medical grade so they aren't always 100% on... just be aware of that! Don't let that damn thing stress you out! Chances are it's just a $40 machine that isn't as good as you want it to be sometimes 😂
