Is babies head open?

I'm now almost 26 weeks pregnant but this scan was at 16 weeks. I was just thinking today it looks like his head is open. Are their skulls not fully developed that early or something?

I could be explaining this wrong but they do have a soft spot on the crown of their head when they're born where the skill isn't fully developed. It hardens up after a little while

Just the soft spot, no worries girl!!  It doesn't fully close until after birth.
