So my boyfriend and I are about to start working together, will be working nights and will be getting off late, having to walk through a parking deck in downtown area, so I asked the nights he doesn't work who he would mind walk me out so I didn't have to walk alone and his response was "idk why your so scared" "not everyone is out to kill you" "no one else gets escorted out" well I explained my father, brother, friends, etc. don't let me walk out alone and he respond with "sorry I can't be like the good men in your life"...... so with this being said do y'all feel I have a reason to be upset? Or am I over reacting?

Yes definetly, your husband is supposed to take on the job of protecting from your father.... however his comment about "good men in your life" is a sly dig in my opinion & he obviously has more feelings around that so try to dig deeper!

That's crazy. He should be concerned with what concerns you. My husband would be right there if I told him I didn't feel safe walking alone. If it's a big deal to you then he should at least be supportive about how you're feeling. Especially since you took the time to ask him what would he be comfortable with.

My husband would be very concerned and wouldn't feel right for me to work so late. And if I did, he'd pick me up from work.
