washing new clothes after being bought?

Do any of you guys wash your underwear and bras after buying or do you just put them right on? I heard stories that you should wash them when you get home.  I never did this before and just wondering if I should... I don't see the fun in that cause then the new clothes smell goes away
Should you do this with all clothes in general? Thanks

I wash dishes before I use them, but not clothes. Pretty sure people don't try on panties and bras in the store

I work in retail and someone asked me this and I actually gave them a funny look initially. Like... they should be clean. Yeah people try them on, but you can tell what's been worn a few times and what hasn't.
