why could this be sticky?

So AF was 3 days late and I thought I might of been in with a chance of being pregnant. yesterday I started getting little spotting of pinkish/brownish blood, and now today I'm in full blown period mode, except when I change my pad the blood is really sticky like a discharge sticky, it's never been like this. Anyone know why? I got told to take a test after my period because it's still possible. Here is my cycle, I've been following it all along.
