Today is the first day of my health journey (advice? encouragement?)
I've been finally getting my house under control, and now I'm getting my body under control.
.
5 years ago I was size 3 and 130 pounds. I was much too thin then (I'm nearly 6') even though I looked model like, it hurt to sit down on things etc. because my bones were all sticking out. I struggled with stress and forgetting/refusing to eat because of depression etc. I entered into the foster care at 15, and this is me at 17 AFTER I had been able to gain some healthy weight after escaping from my abusive mother.

Now I'm fluctuating between 220-230 and my booty has grown to a size 18 (my top is a large/xl, even at my thinnest I was still a medium, so it's really downstairs that's changes drastically)
(Photo of me now with my niece)
I'm finally getting myself in order. Not only would it be good for the health of a normal person...but I have lupus and fibromyalgia and I'm sure my weight has played a major part of those worsening and even kicking me out of a beautiful remission 3 years ago.
.
I have a Y membership and am planning a daily swimming routine. I'm walking more places.
.
I already cut out drinks (other than a single soda on my husband and my game nights) and solely drink water and some tea. Also planning on a more vegetarian diet (but will still eat meat occasionally) and widening my veggie profile (trying to eat several in one meal). Also using medicinal herbs and seasonings (like tumeric and other yummy things that double as medicine)
.
Does anyone have some tips/advice/success stories?
