short cervix?

Just had my 20 week ultrasound today and was told my cervix was on the borderline of being too short as it was under 3cm. Going back next week to measure again and may have to take progesterone. Anyone else experience this? I did have a Leep procedure  last year.

I have a shortened cervix from having a leep as well. It was done 5 years ago. My obgyn said it was closer to 3 than 2 cms so we were okay so far. I just have to have a ultrasound once a month for the next few months to make sure it was staying in good shape.

I've had two keep procedure and that is exactly why you have a shorter cervix. 2.5CM or short is a higher risk for having a premie. I've been going to my OB weekly for the past three weeks as they started me on Makena which is the progesterone shot. My last pregnancy my son was 10 weeks early, that puts me at an even higher risk.  Good luck don't be surprised if they don't mention even getting a cerclage later in the pregnancy.
