what did you put on your registry ?

I'm having my baby shower in about a month and I've started looking at what to add to my registry- being a first time mom I'm a little flustered with everything ! 
I honestly don't know what's appropriate to add to a registry and what I could just get myself.. 
would really appreciate any input from you ladies and what you've put in your registry, what products you really enjoyed receiving, what has been useful with your baby and so on..

I put everything on it from crib, high chair, swaddles, medela steam clean bags, etc. it gave a broad range of pricing because I didn't want anyone to be turned off from the registry for it being too pricy

I would put everything. Usually stores will send you a completion coupon that you can use on anything on your registry you still need but didn't receive at your baby shower. And it's a nice checklist for yourself to make sure you have everything.

FTM here! I was starting from scratch, so I registered for anything & everything..

Bigger ticket items were a crib/mattress, glider + ottoman, pack n play, travel system, bassinet, and changing table. Midrange included baby carrier, jumper, swing, activity mat, baby bath seat, health items, diaper bag/pail, bottles, wipe warmer, linens, and boppy. We sprinkled in lower budget items like pacifiers, bibs, and toiletries.

The sort of things we didn't register for were breast pads, nipple cream, nursing bra, and other postpartum personals. Also, things I'd been warned I'd get plenty of at the shower; diapers, clothes, and toys.

We put everything on ours. Everything. We registered at Babies R Us for 90% of things and did a short list on Amazon. Babies R Us does cash back on every purchase off a registry. This is why we added all the things. What we aren't blessed with at our shower we will purchase off our registry and get the store bonus.

I put literally everything on there.  People will buy what they want to buy anyway.  I had about forty people at my shower,  and only about five made purchases from my registery.  Though those that did buy from the registery bought a lot.  But most people honestly just bought clothes.  People love shopping for baby clothes.
