Considering Paraguard IUD, will my partner feel it?

I'm considering getting an IUD, as I've previously taken the pill and any added hormones made me feel insane. I like the idea of the copper IUD, even though I know it hurts badly to be put in. My main concern is will my partner feel the strings? He said a previously girlfriend had one and he could feel it. Their website says no, but curious if anyone else has experienced that?
