Trying to conceive

So I have been trying to conceive on and off, to cut a long story short when I was with my ex of 5 and a half years we were trying for over 1 year but I did not manage to get pregnant as I was diagnosed with PCOS, I am now seeing someone new we haven't been together as long but we would like to start trying soon. I know I should try longer with my new guy but I don't know how long I should wait for until I seek medical help.

(We have been trying for 3 months)

I don't want to go to my doctor for him to say wait again for so many months as that's what he said last time.

Advice please

Thank you April the doctor said it was mild but when you have/had been trying over a year makes you wonder.. But I'll give it some more time 😊

Similar situation. I was with my ex for four years and tried for 2-3 on  and off but seriously for at least a year and a half. I recently got married a year ago. We have never used protection of any sort and started trying four to five months ago and it's been unsuccessful. We recently went to the fertility specialist and had blood work taken and a vaginal ultrasound. The next step is having a HSG test performed in a week. Stay patient and possibly go see someone to figure out your options. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
