Newborn pink eye?

My baby has some discharge coming from one of her eyes. It looks like pink eye. She is almost 2 weeks old. Anyone have any experience with this? Tips to make it go away? Going to pediatrician tomorrow.

Breastmilk! It has antibacterial qualities and just put some around the eye and it'll help a lot!

If your BF just use a little BM for a couple of days and will go away

my daughter had it. only for a couple days, i just took a warm washcloth and wiped around her eye. i repeated it everytime she woke up or had more come out.

She may just have a clogged tear duct.. Very common in infants since they're so tiny! Causes discharge out of the corner of their eye. My son used to get them! We just massaged the corner (between the nose and eye) with a clean pinky every night and it helped release the block.

I'd still call the pediatrician to make sure it's not pink eye.. But hopefully this will help you worry a little less 😊

My son had it. It was a blocked tear duct. Clean with warm water and washcloth. Massage the corners of eyes gently.

Massage with warm soft cloth from tear duct to the side of the nose. The dr will give you the same ointment they put in her eyes at the hospital
