Fighting sleep?
So my boy is 9 weeks, and to be honest I've never been around babies so I don't know what is normal. Anyway, I feel like he is especially stubborn.. he won't sleep on his back so he doesn't sleep in a crib. I sleep on a recliner so I can't roll over him, and he sleeps on my chest. (No there's no worry about him rolling off me or the recliner) when I try to get him to sleep on his back he cries and cries. Eventually I think I'll attempt the cry it out method but not until he is older and who knows maybe it won't come to that. But meanwhile, he fights sleep like crazy. He is very strong physically and when I lay him on my chest to get him to sleep he will cry and kick his legs and basically stand on my lap or jump- pushing off anything his feet touch. Meaning if I bend his legs to cradle him he will push them out and push off my arms. I guess I feel like he shouldn't be resisting this much and I'm kind of shocked at how strong he is. I don't wait for him to be exhausted to try and get him to sleep and it happens even when he wakes up to eat at night. I know he's tired I can see it in his eyes and in the brief moments he lays his head down before he starts jumping again. I don't know, I have no idea what's normal. Does anyone else's baby fight sleep like a mad person?
