can you ovulate while taking Provera?

I'm on cd38, my OB had me start Provera on cd35. Yesterday I felt crampy and weird so I took an opk. It looked so crazy close to positive. Today I took one and it was a blazing positive. Test line darker than control. What do I do?! Will being in Provera effect anything? Should I stop taking it? Continue? If my period doesn't start does that mean I could've gotten pregnant while taking the pills? 😳
