helpful tips needed

Hi. I'm new to this and have been ttc for 4 months. I'm 33 and my husband is 38. I have used the ovulation kit once but have gone by my fertile window by glow. I spoke with mom and she said she had no problems ttc and it happened the first time trying with each of her kids. I feel lost and don't know what to do. I have been trying to stay positive and leaving it in Gods hands without looking into it so much. Does anyone have any helpful tips?
