nipple trouble??

So my boobs haven't been hurting for the last few weeks but my nipples are EXTREMELY sore and sensitive to the touch. Why would my nipples be so sore? I have a mirena iud btw.

I have the Mirena and this happens to me fairly often. For a majority of the time I've had my Mirena, I've had no bleeding during my periods, but that doesn't mean I wasn't going through my cycle. Even with the IUD you are going through your menstrual cycle and even if you aren't bleeding, you may have other symptoms of your period like sore breasts, moodiness, cramps, etc. Its most likely just that. If it doesn't go away on its own in a couple of days or if the pain worsens or if there's any swelling, see a doctor. Otherwise I think you're okay.
