can someone help?

Question

So my ob said my tsh was 4.008 and I had to see my endocrinologist.. I did that and he tested everything with the thyroid and all my levels are perfect.. what is going on ? Why elevated tsh but t3 and t4 and everything else is normal???

Are you symptomatic?  I only ask, and I am not an expert here by any means, but there such a thing called subclinical hypothyroidism where people don't typically have symptoms but it's reflected in lab work.  I had autoimmune Graves' disease which sent my into hyper.  But wasn't symptomatic then either.  You may want to talk to your endo more...they usually want your tsh between 1-2 for conception-again no expert just went by what my endo and RE said.  Hope you get some answers, been there with thyroid issues and ttc-very frustrating at times but good news is you're seeing the right people to help!
