How long did you wait with your partner before having sex?

When I first lost my virginity back in June, I was with my boyfriend for four months (we celebrated our ten months yesterday ❤?) 
I guess my mom tried to make me feel ashamed of myself because she kept saying (and still does), "I waited six/seven months before me and your father had sex." 
So I'm just curious, how long did you wait? ?

When I lost my virginity I was 2 months off being 16 and my boyfriend at the time and I had been together for about 8 months. But it doesn't make a difference, we broke up after a year and a half (he was cheating on me). 3 years later I met my now husband but we slept together on our first date! I knew form the moment I saw him he was for me.

Mother's will be mothers. They want to make sure you weren't taken advantage of and that you won't regret having your first intimate experience with this particular person. The length of time between the first date and sex varies from one couple to the next. Maturity, age, and past life experiences come into play here.
I wouldn't worry about your mom's comment. It was her experience just as this is yours now.

Well I waited 3 months, but I could tell with my partner that there was something there. I knew how he was with me that I would fall in love. So that's why I didn't wait ages. With ex partners I knew I wouldn't love them so I had sex pretty quick. X
