Weaning

My husband wants to go to Mexico in March. My LO will be almost 9 months old. I would rather not go so that I don't have to leave her that long and because I am breastfeeding and didn't plan on setting a date to stop. I would rather it be a more natural transition, whenever we feel ready. He wants to go really bad and its a free trip. It would probably be a nice time but i am a mommy first. Any advice about weaning would be greatly appreciated.
