Let's talk Plan B
So, I know there are many questions and concerns about Plan B and I am in no way an expert, but I can offer my experience and what I've been going through as far as taking it.
When reading, please keep in mind everyone is different as far as the reactions go.
So, August 23rd, I had my period and like any couple, my boyfriend and I was glad when it was over. Time to celebrate. We used a condom, but it broke. It happens some times. So I took Plan B just 2-3 hours after the incident.
A week later, I had another period, knowing that Plan B tore down my uterus lining and whatnot.
Now, I had read all about the side effects of taking the Pill and whatnot and I didn't experience very many of them. About 3 weeks after taking it though, I started to feel exhausted all the time. I started having dreams when I went to sleep (only ever usually happens on rare occasions) and feeling nauseous. The first thought that came to my mind was pregnancy. So I took a test and when it turned negative, I pushed it out of my mind.
Sex did happen again but always with a condom. So, I didn't worry about anything. So, a month had passed since my last Plan B period and I still had no symptoms of my period coming other than my breasts being sore. Really really sore. I usually sleep on my stomach so my breasts being sore was a huge problem. I had to put a pillow underneath my chest and even that still hurt.
But no period. After another pregnancy test came back negative, I started to worry though. Could it be a false negative? Did another condom break and neither of us realize it?
Anyway, Plan B really messes you up. Two months after taking it and I'm finally getting my next period and I don't think I could be more thankful for it either. Cramps this time around hurt A LOT more than my usual ones, but still not too much where I can't get up and do whatever I need to do.
If thinking about taking this pill or if you have, please be cautious. The side effects aren't a joke. They mimick pregnancy symptoms and will mess up your cycle. I'm only two months in and I guess I will watch to see how else it will affect me.
