how do I make friends?

I grew up in Arizona and had lots of friends growing up. My family decided to move to Mississippi and I have had so much trouble making girlfriends. I missed out on making friends in college because I didn't really fit in. I got married and he's the only one friend I've made. I mean I have made some friends but they're more like acquaintances. Can't find stuff in common even though I try. Idk. It has brought me into a deep depression..
