Clueless

I'm only 4 months into trying to conceive my first.we have been having unprotected sex for about a year hopeful BuT for about 4 months I've cracked down trying to figure exact dates I quit taking my birth control that I was on about6 months ago, i was on it for 7 years idk if that would effect me or not . I definetly don't understand all the lingo yet, working on it. I also have ovarian cysts 3-4 on each, they bust every other months sometimes every months I am beggining to worry I may not be able to have children or he may not be able to I just want to try for a year first, anyways can someone help me start this process when/what time of days I need to take the ovulation test. I'm very new to this and just looking for insight. And what important stuff to take note of for me to better track this. Thanks so much and good luck to all you other lovely ladies.
