Do you still have a social life?

Question

Ever since having my baby, I have like no social life, don't go out, friends don't visit. I'm literally in house or out walks all day with just me and my son, do you still have a social life after having baby?

You just have to think of this as a season. While I think you should get out every once in a while it's not the time to worry too much about a social life. It's the time to stay home and enjoy your family. They will grow up quick and it will be easier for you to have a social life. ;)

Look into mommy baby groups and free drop in play groups for you to take the baby. I live in a super small city of just 17,000 and there's something free every day! My husband also will watch her in the evening for a few hours once or twice a week and I'll go grab a coffee with a friend or two. Then he can do the same. Maybe just talk to him about a schedule even if it's one time a week at night and one afternoon or morning a week for a play group. I myself am a homebody but it's nice to get out and really good for my daughter to socialize with other babies and people.

see if there's any mom and baby groups in your area! Right now I'm in the stage where I can't wait to take baby out but she's still too little lol

My baby is 7 months old and goes to all kinds of places. We have been to 2 concerts and her older brothers' football games. She loves people and is such an easy going baby.

My husband and I each get one boys or girls night every other week. For us these are just as important as our date nights.

Try to meet other moms thru a gym or swim class. Are you in the states? Look up your local YMCA they always have classes. Start introducing yourself to other moms at the park. I live in Germany and scared once our boy is older the language barrier may be an issue for me but I'll try to meet other moms thru classes

No but I'm perfectly content with that.

I have my husband and our amazing children and some family I can tolerate. That's all I need. 😘
