Allergy and cold

So my 5 month old has allergies nurse practitioner said this friday and would consult the doc on what to do..

She never got back to us.

Tonight i called since LO is only sleeping 15min stretches, not eating, having a hard time breathing, scratching at his eyes/nose till they are red, etc.(this has been going on since Wed) Nurse on call tells me without the doctor saying LO has allergies there is nothing she or i can do. I asked can i just give him 1ml of Benadryl....no that will kill him...... what DA FUQ!? PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT CRAZY in thinking they have basically said oh well let your baby suffer.
