How do you feel about declawing cats?

So I'm adopting a grown cat tomorrow, I'm so excited btw!! Any ways, the cat is declawed. And to me that's a win because she won't scratch the baby and baths will be easy. I'm NOT FOR DECLAWING. I wouldn't have it done to the cat. I do remember that my mom had our cats declawed when I was little, but when I got older I became educated on the actual process and the pain the cat deals with. So what are your thoughts on it? 🐱🐱🐈🐈🐈
