anyone go into labor before scheduled C section?

I'm schedule for a section 11/14 but I'm worried I'll go into labor before my scheduled c section. If I do my husband will miss the birth because he is on a work trip until the 13th. If I go into labor how quickly will they want me to have the c section? I know they won't wait for him to get back to the east coast from the west coast! I'm going in to talk to my Dr on wed about this. But I can't get it off my mind... looking for people who have been thru it
