birth control ideas?

So I used to be on the patch and I feel sorry for my loved ones because I was a psychotic bitch for 3 months. Then I was no longer having sex as I moved but in December my boyfriend and I are moving into together. We both want sex without a condom but the side effects from birth control aren't worth it again.  I believe I'm allergic to the sponge or something because I got a horrible yeast infection and uti when I tried it and spermicide has too high of a failure rate. I mean it's not like we won't be happy if I get pregnant because we want kids just not right now. Any helpful ideas out there?
