bleeding non stop for six weeks- is it dangerous

A little background info, I have not been taking any birth control for the past six months, previously was on the depo injection however wanted to start trying to conceive so stopped them. Since stopping my depo injections I have had irregular periods with severe cramps (brings me to tears and makes me jolt to the floor) as well with frequent bowel movements (apologises tmi). I have also had different coloured bloods and large clots and differs in flow.. six months later I have been bleeding for six weeks, experiencing all the above and feeling very sick. Is it dangerous to be bleeding this long? And normal to have these symptoms?
