Is Coconut oil good to prevent stretch marks? I just got one it. I'm 14 weeks and I being using Bio Oil since week 5.

Stretch marks can't be prevented at all, it's either genetic or from your body growing bigger or smaller. Cocoa butter, bio oil etc are really good too minimise them but not prevent.

I love coconut oil. It is natural, lasts all day, and doesn't irritate my skin at all. However, nothing is actually going to prevent stretch marks. You need to stay hydrated, stay away from smoking (smoking kills the collagen in your skin), and moisturize.

They say it is linked to genetics, but this is not a 100% guarantee whether you will get them or not. My mom has them, my sister does not, and I have not gotten any yet.

I use coconut literally head to toe, and especially on my nipples to prepare for breastfeeding. I apply it every night to my belly and have just started using it for perennial massages to help prevent tearing (I'm almost 35 weeks). However, I did get about 6 stretch marks but they aren't huge or dark! I'm not sure if the coconut oil had anything to do with that. But use it anyway, your skin will benefit regardless. Also, I use organic virgin coconut oil, by Nutiva.

My sister highly recommends using coconut oil instead of lotion she says it works better to minimize the stretch marks.

I use tummy butter from Walmart. I've been using it since the beginning and haven't gotten any stretch marks and I'm 25 weeks pregnant ☺️

There's not really any cream or lotion that will prevent stretch marks. That being said, well moisturized skin stretches a little more gracefully. I used coconut oil up until around 25 weeks but it didn't sink into my skin very well since it's such a light oil. I started using Lubriderm for intensely dry skin and noticed the difference almost immediately. I am 36 weeks now and (fingers crossed I make it four more weeks) I don't have any stretch marks. 😌
