Doctor time?

Okay ladies. Who exactly can check you out to see if you have pcos? A regular family doctor? Or a fertility specialist? I'm new to all this and have been considering checking for pcos. My family doctor said we could check my husbands sperm count so I have no idea where to go ?

I went to an obgyn. She had me do blood work and an ultrasound of my ovaries. She confirmed that I do have pcos. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to go. I have been diagnosed for a month now. Starting on metformin. She said I should try it for 4-6 months and if it doesn't help we will have to come back in for more testing and that my hubby will have to come in then also for test.

GYN or fertility clinic can check for PCOS. Urologist or fertility clinic can do the semen analysis.

Well you need a referral so call your dr. Office and they will suggest whoever takes your insurance
