break ups

So I broke up with my bf well now ex and he ran and threw himself on the grass like a 3 year old having a temper tantrum. I felt bad at that moment. This morning I was balling my eyes out and he had me pinned against my car trying to get into my pants even when I said no. He yelled at me when I dumped him and blocked me on everything. Part of me cares about him cause I know his past and I feel bad but I think I did the right thing. Did I ?
