Do you still get periods on IUD??

so i wanna get the Iud.. due to my nasty periods and cramps and heavy flow i have..... am i going to have periods still for 5 years or no???

I have the mirena. Some people bleed some don't. It all depends on your body.

I have the copper and my answer is yes. Also consider that birth control helps pms, while IUDs do NOT. :/

You can still get your period birth control can lighten shorten and even stop your period it just depends on how your body reacts with it since everyone is different
