and I highly advise you to avoid hand tattoos as long as possible. if you're still asking about pain I'm assuming you are not tattooed enough for most artists to be comfortable with giving you that tattoo

Probably a lot. There's not much fat there and a lot of bones and tendons.

My dad is a pretty tough guy and he has a scorpion tattoo on his hand, he came home from my mom's cousins tattoo shop after he got it looking like he just finished crying and said that it was one of the worst things he's ever done to his body before. He's accidentally cut his knee open with a chainsaw and has fallen from the tops of trees. He's also had a tree fall down onto his arm and broke his arm/wrist and none of those times did he ever cry

Well never got one on my hand but got one on my ankle towards my foot right on the fucking bone. It hurt like hell, so bad I started crying and one of the tattoo artists got me Starbucks because he felt bad. So I'd imagine the hand might hurt a little

I have both hands and I mean my fingers done including the pinky which is straight up bone- if I had to rate pain it'd be a 2, everyone is different though.

Anytime the tattoo is over a bone (Ie hand, knee, shin, etc) it hurts WAY more. My boyfriend enjoys the pain from tattoos and when they went over his shin he was ready to tap out. It hurts so bad because the needle is actually hitting the bone and the nerves are way more sensitive

The closer the the hands and feet tend to be more painful because you have a lot of nerve endings there. However it is different from person to person. My back tattoo didnt hurt at all where as someone else might tell you its the worst thing so, idk girl
