Is a MRI safe

I need help... I'm in the absolute worst pain of my life. I've had 3 lower back surgeries in the past and I just found out im 5 weeks pregnant and I feel the same pain as before when I had to have surgery... I went to the Dr but he won't do anything for me because I'm pregnant, but now I literally can't not move. I know I can't have xrays but is an MRI safe to suggest?
