Amazed

Ashley
I'm not going to lie, I've had terrible luck with guys. I've been used, neglected, abused, forgotten, and tossed away. I've endured pain and received a bad image of what I believed my worth was.
A couple months ago, I met a really wonderful man. He's in two of my classes, and he happened to have sat by me on the first day. We always spoke with the same group of classmates. He is such a nice guy! We had a project in one of our classes that required us to group up, and I asked if he wanted to be partners. I am so glad I did!
Before I knew it, we were constantly hanging out. One night, we walked to our campus lake and hung out there until 2 in the morning. It was then I knew something amazing was happening between us! Slowly but surely, we've tested the waters with each other. Today, we held hands for the first time. I feel absolutely elated!
I know that may sound so small and insignificant, but hear me out! The reason we waited for so long is because I needed him to prove to me that he could be patient and wait for when I was ready before we made any emotional or physical progress. We aren't even official yet. It was just today he and I talked about our feelings, too. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for such compassion and sincerity. I am astounded by his patience. It is far different than anything I've ever known.
I want you all to have a person like this in your life--someone who respects you and stands by your side. I want you all to have someone who knows you at your most vulnerable moments but is never judging. I want you all to know the flitter of your heart when he holds your hand and the blush on your cheeks when he complements you in the most sincere way. It's infatuation in the most amazing form. It's beautiful, and I hope that everyone gets this at least once in their life. ❤️
