Preeclampsia

Kristina
pregnancy has been weird for me. I've never really had an issue with weight or maintaining it ( 8 months ago I was 5'5 and 125 lbs) but I feel like I've just blown up over this pregnancy.
My feet and legs have been retaining water like crazy. Today was my 24 week appointment and I've gained 13 lbs in the last 4 weeks! All of my measurements came back okay otherwise. For instance my belly is exactly 25cm ( weeks pregnant +\- 1or 2 cm is considered perfect according to my doc). My dr looked at my feet and legs and said they were huge, which I agree with. My blood pressure just sitting down in the office was 140/60, and this wasn't the first time that's happened. Believe it or not, before getting pregnant I have issues with LOW blood pressure .
Needless to say I'm now being monitored for preeclampsia . My visits are being moved to every two weeks. I've been pretty good with my diet , but now I'm going to have to be super strict . Chugging even MORE water, no cheese or tomato sauce , and really monitoring salt intake. Trying to get this water retention and swelling under control! I'm also told a food journal is a good idea.
It's such a disappointment to feel like you've done everything you were supposed to yet have your body reflect otherwise . Especially when I'm only 24 weeks .
Any other mommas who have dealt with preeclampsia or being monitored for preeclampsia during this pregnancy.... or any other pregnancies ..?
