bad cough

So I went to urgent care on Sunday bc I have this terrible hacking cough, congestion and sore throat. They said I have an upper respiratory viral infection and basically said there's not a thing I can do about it . She said I can have cough drops, allergy meds and promethazine(cough syrup). The promethazine I was hell bent on not using it bc if it's making me sleepy I know it's making the baby sleepy. But I've hit my wall tonight. I thrown up twice now from coughing so hard and my chest hurts so bad. I took a tiny tiny sip but it's not doing anything. I'm nervous that all my coughing is putting stress on the baby. Anyone ever been this sick during pregnancy and have any suggestions??? All I want is to stop coughing and be able to sleep.
