paragard and pregnancy

I've had the paragard IUD in place for 4 years now and I've never had an issue with it. I'm always pretty regular and I always spot a day or two before my period is due to start. I'm currently a day late and have no spotting at all. My husband and I were going to try for a baby in about a year so we're not totally opposed to having a baby right now but, with the paragard in place I am absolutely terrified that if I am pregnant, what that would mean for the baby.

If I haven't started in a couple of days I will buy a test but for now, I'm sat here thinking about nothing but how conflicted I feel.

Has anyone here ever gotten pregnant with the paragard? How did that turn out for you?
