Advice on egg /sperm sharing and ivf

Hi all.

My husband and I have been ttc for 6 years. Tried Chlomid for 12 months, no results,I ovulate on it but no pregnancy. We cannot afford full ivf but heard recently about egg and sperm sharing and that this could significantly lower the cost. I don't really know much about either or about the ivf process in general so would appreciate everyone's help with the following:

1) What do egg/sperm sharing involve?

2) What will we have to go through in general with ivf?

3) What were your own experiences with egg/sperm sharing? Would you recommend it?

4)I am in the UK. South Yorkshire. Can anyone recommend good clinics nearby?
