Lucas 10/31/16 😍😍😍

Due date was 7th of November.

My water broke October 30th, around 5:30 pm. Went to the hospital, was 1-2cms dilated but still no contractions. They did sweeping. I asked permission to eat (my last meal was lunch, since we were supposed to have a family dinner).

Another cervix check was done, 3-4cms, still irregular contractions. Oxytocin was started at 10:30pm, I stayed in my room and slept it out. At around 1:00am, I started having severe pain and contractions. I was wheeled in to the delivery suite, and lo and behold- 9cms! I was asking for an epidural but I began having the urge to reaaaally push so I did. Didn't have the chance to have the epidural 😣.

A few painful pushes, and baby was out! I had an episiotomy (which hurt til now). Overall it was a good experience, labor was unexpectedly quick. Only 30 minutes of pain but it was worth it! 39 weeks! 😍 (side note: he has the same birth date as his dad, who's ecstatic about that lol)

Lucas is still in the NICU being treated with antibiotics. He's also unable to breastfeed so they do cup feeding with breastmilk. I do try to get him to latch on. Hopefully he does soon. Keep him in your thoughts please! 👏
