Could i have my baby today?

I just left my doctor she said any day now im 36th weeks n 2 day i lost my mucus plug last week im 2 1/2 cm dilated and im 80% effaced she can touch baby head n apparently i been having contractions....so my question is will he come today or a week from now...

Could go either way. With my 2nd pregnancy i had a dr appt that morning anf everything seemed like i was good to finish out my pregnancy. Went into labor that afternoon.

It all depends on baby and body, it may take longer for you to dilate more, I was in prodromal labor for 2 weeks with my son. Try and relax that should help the contractions progress your dilation
