Estrogen insert?!!

Hey mama's today I went to see my obgyn due to pain while having sex. My daughter is now 6 months and this barley started happening. So my doctor put me on estrogen inserts. I pretty much spray it up my vag. She said this will help me because I'm breastfeeding and my daughter is taking my estrogen to prevent me to become pregnant again because my body isn't ready. Has anyone else taking this before? Any comments on this topic?
