Having contractions at 34 weeks

Im 34 weeks and ive been having contractions which i wasn't aware of because i have no pain no signs of it. It's when i went to ER i was told that im contacting so i was giving 2 shots of steroids and magnesium then got sent home 2 days later. Has anyone had this experience if so how did it turn out for u cuz im afraid my lil one might comes out before it's time
