Moms with preschool aged kids

What are you doing to keep your preschooler busy at home with a newborn? We live in New Hampshire so most days it's too cold to go outside. She's in preschool from 9-12, 5 days a week. But the afternoons are getting dull, it's hard looking after her and a newborn. I can't always play with her or give her my full attention. Right now I'm nursing the baby and she's upstairs in her room watching her iPad (shame on me, I know)... She does play independently and seems happy but I worry because we used to play together a lot. I just don't know what we can do, I'm a bit overwhelmed with the baby, a 3 year old, chores... We desperately need to go to the grocery store. Ugh how are you moms doing it?!
