Should I be worried??

My csection is scheduled for nov 22nd and Ive been anemic this whole pregnancy and I've been taking my iron pills and doing everything my doctor said to do to try to get it up. But at my last appointment she checked my iron level and it was a 9.0...which is lower than it was last time. (It was a 9.4) last time she told me if I can't get it up I'll need an iron infusion before surgery or I might need a blood transfusion ...but my last appointment it was lower like I said and she just told me "keep doing what I'm doing" (which is taking 4 iron pills a day) but it's obviously not working and surgery is around the corner ! I don't know what I should do..should I keep bugging her about it..about getting an iron infusion before surgery..or what..I'm kind of worried. 😞
